Contains food grade, slow melt polyphosphate that dissolves into water to inhibit scale and rust build up. Use where scale, corrosion, and increased amounts of iron are present in the water source. Also available in combination with GAC for improved taste, odor and chlorine removal. These cartridges are not 100% full. This is to allow room for the water to flow through the polyphosphate media.
